CLN FLTR on a Balboa hot tub: filter reminder

This is a timed reminder to clean the filter (CLN FLTR, about every 30 days) or replace it (CHNG FLTR). The system has not detected a problem. The tub is safe to use.

What to try, in order

  1. Turn off power at the breaker and remove the filter.
  2. Rinse between every pleat with a garden hose. Soak in filter cleaner if it has been a month or more.
  3. Reinstall the filter and restore power.
  4. Press any button to dismiss the reminder. It will return on its normal schedule.
  5. If you do not want reminders, turn them off in the panel's preferences menu.

Does CLN FLTR mean my filter is clogged?

No. It is a calendar reminder. The control does not measure how dirty the filter is.

How do I clear the clean filter message?

Press any button on the panel. The reminder resets and returns after its set interval.
